People don't know what they are missing if they don't try sukiyaki. This place does it properly, at the table. Give it a try!
Caught up with a friend at the Sukiyaki House. The food was fresh and tasty. The service was excellent as they didn’t hover but knew when to refill our drinks and attend to the table. Highly recommend it.
Delicious, good staff
Food delivery was super slow
Lunches at Sukiyaki House are always the break I need for my day. Greeted by Judith, Justin and Anna we always are treated like family here. Koji and his team are the most talented sushi artists in the city. Consistency, client focused service and always striving to be better. this is why we come back. thanks Sukiyaki House.
Group lunch for work. Great meal. Great service. Reasonable price (a little over $30/person).
It is loud in there but we were still able to communicate across the table.
Excellent sushi! Servers were very attentive and accommodating. Would definitely return in the future!
Came for lunch with a colleague. We loved it, edamame could have been a bit more seasoned, however everything else was great. We left saying that we would for sure be back.
Food and service was very good. Carpaccio came out looking like a piece of art. Sake knowledge was great and food was fresh and came out in a timely manner.
The only thing I can say is the lack of interior design is apparent and I hope they redo the interior someday so I could feel the entire creative experience, not just the food.
Food is excellent, but the service is not that good.
Very good sushi, service was amazing as usual, we will definitely be returning.
Very nice Japanese restaurant. Everything was very tasty, thank you.
Absolutely amazing food and wonderful friendly service. I definitely want to go back again! I highly recommend this place. The hot pot was delicious and fresh so was the sushi.
Our Waitress was amazing. The food was good, regret not getting the sushi as it looked amazing. Nice quite restaurant where we could actually hold a conversation or not feel apart of someone else’s.
Favorite restaurant this side of the Pacific. Chef Koji's food is always so good, and there couldn't be a more friendly and kind staff team. Go to one of the seasonal Kaiseki traditional dinners you will not be disappointed .
This is good Japanese food. Traditional, no stupid roll combos, cheese sushi, etc. Just high quality ingredients offered in simple, perfect presentations. Suzuki is served here, you don't see that everywhere. Chef Kobayashi performed a little Katsuramaki (peeling into thin sheets) on a cucumber after lunch, with a big Hochou, had to be 14" long. You don't see that around here much either. Nice to see that level of skill.
If you love pure Japanese, this is a good spot, and a good value. Nice people too.
Good chirashi zushi
Everything was perfect.🤗
Service outstanding. Food superb. Nice atmosphere.
Very friendly staffs and very good food my family members had a great time there . Will return for sure .
Always amazing food, service and drinks. Love the sushi and all the appetiizers. The staff are great and Sukiyaki House is an absolute favourite if our family.
The staff are very attentive and provide excellent recommendations. Food is very tasty, however I found the amount of fish in my sushi rolls a bit underwhelming. I had the unagi and spicy tuna rolls; not much seafood within. The tempura vegetables were excellent. Kind of crazy that a sushi restaurant charges for hot sauce too - I’ve had better sushi for better value elsewhere.
The best sushi I’ve ever had!
Amazing restaurant that had some of the best sushi in Calgary. Atmosphere was great...it was a little noisy during the lunch rush, but we were still able to have a fruitful conversation.
This place is amazing! The best sushimi and prawns! The staff was really the best aspect of the whole experience. They are so nice and genuine. They made sure we were comfortable and satisfied.
Fish here is always fresh and they have less common varieties flown in from Japan. A real Calgary gem if you enjoy sushi.
I think this is the best sushi in town, service is always good.
Good food, a bit expensive
Best sushi in town, hands down. Fish is always fresh and delicious!
Great sushi, great service, great ambiance.
The restaurant was empty when we arrived. We were glad to find out that this didn't have anything to do with the service or quality of the food. The waiters were nice and helpful, the food 1A quality.
Always so good! My friend had the Bento Box and thoroughly annoyed it. I had the Gzoya that were equally good.
The food was good. The price was far too high and we were asked to leave in less than an hour after sitting down. Never going back.
I visit at least once a week and have yet to be disappointed. Great food!
It was absolutely delicious and a wonderful experience. The plating was gorgeous
Service & food, both amazing!
Celebrated my birthday there, a little on the expensive side but that was known from the beginning. The service was amazing, they really went above and beyond to make the celebration special, food and drinks were amazing as well.
It is unfortunate because I have eaten here before and loved the food but this time I would say that it was average at best. The service was acceptable but unremarkable.
They accommodated a large group and gave my husband a free drink for his 40th birthday. Great food!
