It was great!
Great place for dinner when visiting DC. Food and service was great.
Very disappointing place is beautiful, menu great! Service was non exitent food served cold and when the manager came over after we requested him he appeared so surprised however did not expedite anything, our wine was served almost at the end of the meal. They did offer us a comped dessert however too little too late!
This place was awesome. The food was amazing. The service at the bar was fast, but the service at the table was slow. Like, really slow. Like, where-did-my-waitress-go-? -slow.
Great food great service
The atmosphere is very nice; however, the noise level was deafening at times. My group of four said that the food was very tasty but we all complained that some portion of each dish was cold or just warm. We will give the restaurant another try at a later date.
Not the place to go for a quick lunch. Plan to be there for a while. Overall food was good. Service was a bit slow at times.
We had a good time at The Hamilton. Food for good. Service was good however the server never introduced him or talked about the menu to us and our drinks did take a little longer than normal to come out. We were there for an engagement dinner and I had specified that in my reservation but it must have been over looked. Overall a good experience though. Would go back for the food.
Another case of stick with what they do well. Get meat at a steak house, swordfish in Seafood joint. I had walked past the sushi bar in this massive restaurant and found myself ordering a Poki Bowl. The fish was fresh and components just fine but at $22, value was not there. DC Poki or Poki Papa gives much more for much less. Still a big fan of Hamilton and all the venues run by this local food group, just stick to the main menu. If you do order the Poki Bowl, note in advance that you want wasabi and ginger.
The food was terrible. We came to celebrate a friend’s birthday and everyone was disappointed with the food.
Our experience at the Hamilton was excellent. We love Old Ebbitt, so we we’re happy to see some of our favorites on their menu. The poke bowl was very good and the spanish octopus was also very good. We’ll definitely be back.
we were visiting DC from North Carolina and the bus tour guide said we needed to try Hamilton's. So we did and he was correct, it was amazing. We went for Sunday brunch and it was so good. We have told all of our friends to visit when they are in town. Thanks again for a great experience.
The food was really good but the service was horrible. I’ve been before and had bad service but thought I would give it another try. We sat down and our waiter didn’t come for 10 minutes. When he finally came he said he would bring us water and never came back. The manager then came over and took our drink orders. When he came back and it was clear our waiter would not be back to check on us, we just ordered with the manager. The waiter came over after we had both food and drinks to see if everything was ok. Too little too late.
The food was fantastic. The menu was creative and had great flavor combinations. Great use of seasonal produce.
Very nice and romantic. My husband and I were very impressed w/ everything. Waitress was very attentive.
Booked through open table and was seated within 5 minutes. Restaurant was great. Even with a full house, we stop got our meals quickly.
The worst service that I have ever experienced at a Clyde’s managed restaurant. Very disappointing.
A wonderfully classic restaurant. The ambiance is romantic yet great for friends meeting as well as business dinners.
Food and service were exceptional. We choose this restaurant for my birthday and also for my grand daughter’s birthday.
Excellent meal -- delish mezze plate and figs with burrata for appetizers, and I had an outstanding entree of grits with seared scallops and kale ribbons.
My drink was also superb -- a craft bourbon cocktail with ginger and other mixables.
Big shoutout on service, too -- two of our party were delayed thanks to heavy traffic and a failed Lyft call -- but the two of us who were there first got seated with no problems (unusual in this town), and our waiter was good enough to pause in his rushing about to take a couple of pix of the group. Bravo on all levels.
I’ve only ever been here for breakfast but it’s a good spot to get breakfast with people in town visiting and then you can all walk a short walk to the mall. Service was very good and the place is beautiful. Would recommend to anyone visiting.
Great decor and ambiance, had an amazing time
The cowboy ribeye was only almost okay. Ordered med-well, the center was well done, dry, and not very tasty. Don't go there on a Friday night (1030p) unless you have 2.5 hours to spare. The servers are ridiculously busy. Dinner conversation is out, you just shout your way through because it is very loud, even outside of the bar area The brussel sprouts were burned. The drinks were the best, at $158. 🤨
Recommended as a must try when in DC and I’m glad we did. My husband and I went for dinner after a day of sight seeing. Atmosphere was energetic and business casual. Live music downstairs. Service was fast and friendly even though they were slammed. The food was wonderful especially the mashed potatoes. We both had the meatloaf and it was delicious. I don’t often order meatloaf at a restaurant but heard this was the place to have meatloaf. They were right. We finished with the gooey chocolate fudge cake and were not disappointed. Will be back next time we visit DC.
Service, ambiance and location were excellent, however the food was really so so, nothing special.
Great food. Service was alright— could have been more attentive after appetizers
The service was just ok. Our waitress started our very attentive and the food came quickly but we waited a long time after our plates were cleared for her to returns and when she did she brought our check with no offer of dessert or coffee or more drinks. That was a big disappointment.
The first 5 bottles of wine we ordered were out of stock! FIVE! manager on duty came over finally with some suggestions. Never apologized just “explained” that they were transitioning to a new distributor. Dirty dishes sat on our table between courses. No one checked on us for long periods. Had to bother a bus boy for ice. Never even offered us a complimentary coffee for all of our inconveniences. However the food was delicious.
birthday. great waiter. wonderful service
Too noisy, couldn’t hear any conversation! Ordered sushi, was not fresh but ok!
Very great atmosphere. Food was delicious and the service was stellar! Very accommodating to allergies.
Good food, cool decor and great location
Great food and nice place!
Our waitress Elena was outstanding we had sushi and the sausage Ragu with gluten free noodles it was all wonderful and the ambiance sublime we are in one of dining rooms and it was a bit noisy but overall a wonderful experience we would recommend it
Waiter was rude
We were seated for Sunday Brunch and waited 15 minutes and our server never came to the table. We were on tight time due to flying out that afternoon and we could no longer wait. I’m not sure the staff wouldn’t even notice that we were gone!
Server was rude, twice. All the food was barely warm and the Mac and cheese was cold. By the time we finished eating our food we inquired about the Mac and cheese and she gave us an attitude like, it coming and I can’t control that. It did come and it was good but... basically a 3 star experience.
The Ricotta Donuts were the best. The only negative was my steak was medium well not medium rare. It was still very good.
Outstanding service for a large group (11) on a tight schedule. The fig buratta is outstanding.
We have dined here before so we were surprised that our service was subpar and our appetizer was small. Other than those two issues, we truly enjoyed ourselves. We will be back.
