Excellent service great place outdoor sitting for young kids.
Came here with my girlfriend one night to grab some dinner. Excellent service and food was great. Small portions but we split the alfredo pasta and chicken (they even brought it out in 2 dishes knowing we were going to split it but did not ask for 2 dishes so that was a nice offer) and ordered 2 of the bruschetta flat breads, which were tremendous. Ate outside on the patio at night in March was perfect.
We were the only people in dining room yet service was very slow. We were there for brunch and had eggs over fast that were very over done.
We loved it and certainly go back!
I had the salmon and it was delicious and the portion of salmon was just right. My husband had the meatballs and fries.
The highlight though was the bruschetta!!
OMG!
The pork Oslo bucolic was very good. The pork chop not so much. The sausage stuffed peppers were outstanding. Good happy hour.
We went for brunch on a Sunday. The waiter was very nice and helpful. The food was tasty and prices were very reasonable. The patio is small but not crowded and the inside seating is fun and relaxed.
3rd time dining at 5th and Vine during spring training. Consistently excellent food and wine with friendly and helpful staff.
The patio entertainer had her speakers so loud we couldn't hear each other without raising our voices.
My prior reviews of this restaurant showed my one hundred percent satisfaction. I'm afraid that was not the case this time. I ordered a grilled cheese on their delicious whole grain bread - my favorite! But when my sandwich was placed before me, it was on sourdough bread. I realize mistakes happen, so I asked the waiter to redo my order. He said, "Oh, we're out of the whole grain. I'm sorry I didn't tell you. This is the only bread we have today." I asked why he didn't tell me… And he said, he forgot that all the whole grain was used on Sunday and it was being reordered today [which was Thursday].
Truthfully, I did not enjoy my sandwich - and wondered about how a restaurant manager can run out of something as simple as bread on a Sunday, and not reorder it until Thursday. AND - I do fault the waiter for not coming back to our table to let me know they were out of the bread I requested.
If I did not have a guest with me, whose sandwich (and the correct one!) was brought to her the same time as my sandwich - I would have reordered. But I didn't want her food to grow cold.
Needless to say, while this might seem a small problem - and certainly doesn't negate the good food and reliable service I usually get at 5th and Wine - it literally left a bad taste in my mouth.
Friendly atmosphere. Great wait staff. Great recommendations
The Sunday Brunch was okay, I was expecting better. A couple of entrees I read online were not available. The special Bloody Mary was very good and so was the chicken tortilla soup. The staff members were friendly, and our reservation was right on time. However the service was slow at a time when the restaurant wasn't very busy. I was treating my visiting family and hoping for a more unique experience.
I wish I could remember the name of our waiter because he was great, very friendly and full of suggestions. He reminded us it was happy hour and pointed out the deals. He was attentive, but not bothersome. He kept our wine and water glasses full. The chicken tortilla soup was delicious and although I didn't order one, the burger my friend had looked fabulous.
Dinner for two. Butternut squash pasta. Great wine.
This was not my first visit to 5th and Wine, but it was for my luncheon companion. And 5th and Wine did not disappoint! Both of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. It is a place I will return to often! I would make one suggestion, however. There should be more choice among the types of bread used for sandwiches. I love their whole grain bread for my sumptuous grilled cheese sandwich, but my friend would have enjoyed her BLT even more had it been on a different bread. Maybe sourdough, rye, plain whole wheat, and good old white bread would be good additions to the options.
Fun restaurant. Love the specialty risotto that changes deily
We tried 5th and Wine based on reviews in Open Table and Yelp. Overall, we were very satisfied with the food and service. I had the special of the day, tenderloin skewers on a bed of risotto. Very good and tasty, except a couple of the tenderloin pieces had cold centers. My wife had the other special, goat cheese ravioli, which was extremely good. We were a bit surprised that the restaurant was not that crowded on a Friday night, but I understood later that it could have been because the weather was a bit on the chilly side.
We had a friendly server that provided excellent recommendations from the menu. We enjoyed the bourbon glazed salmon and the spaghetti squash shrimp scampi, both were delicious! The bonus of the evening was sitting outside, under large heat lamps, listening to awesome live music of a local musician named Ivan. He was fantastic, the food and wine was all great, and the service and atmosphere was warm and inviting!
One of our local places to go for lunch or dinner where we know the food is consistently good. Live music several nights each week and monthly wine dinner special occasions. Friendly staff makes for a nice experience.
Our server was so kind, my family was about 40 minutes late to the reservation (I arrived on time) and he was so patient and understanding. Bruschetta was amazing, as well as the drinks. I was a little disappointed in their limited options for entrees, however. I feel as if there may have been more options in the past and they have reduced their menu? The patio is clean and nice, but not much to it. Not a great outdoor atmosphere, but the inside is wonderful and cozy, dimmed lighting so it is perfect for dates, anniversaries, or even birthdays. My mom ordered the lamb burger and was a bit complicated with her order, so the kitchen got it wrong and sent it out with goat cheese when she had asked for white cheddar. Once it was sent back, they merely placed the goat cheese on top of the white cheddar cheese. Overall, great experience, but expected way more options on menu.
Good food, nice ambiance, good entertainment but a bit too much volume.
The service was terrible and the waiter did not know anything about the menu. 2 people at our table have allergies and we told the waiter in detail about the severity of the allergies and exactly what each person couldn't eat. When we received our food, the waiter had to go back and check on one of the items because he "didn't actually know" if we could eat them. And one of the items they brought was covered in cheese (which is what we are both allergic too). I definitely wouldn't recommend this restaurant for anything more than drinks!
This was my first visit to 5th and Wine. I live locally and wanted to try it out with a couple of out of town visitors. Although the restaurant was not very busy, the noise level was so bad we had to almost shout to speak to each other. Live music which gradually got louder didn't help. I would only go there again if the weather was fine and I could use the patio. The food was ok.
Great food, excellent wine selection and nice ambiance!
Varied menu with reasonable pricing. Excellent service with a smile. Food great. Only one criticism: The online menu is not up-to-date in terms of the ingredients for my chosen item, so my selection needed to be altered a bit. That said, it turned out just fine. But I suggest that with standard items on the menu - any changes should quickly be changed online.
Looking forward to another lunch at 5th and Wine and introducing this good restaurant to a couple of friends.
Great menu, moderate price, excellent service. Sam was very attentive, she suggested we move back from the music so we could visit with our friends. Great choice of burgers. Relaxing place.
Excellent Happy Hour! Great food and wine!
The Groupon was totally worth it but it took a very long time to get our food!
The waitress was nice and funny!
I liked the patio seating and would go back for drinks w friends in the future!
My family and I ate here for Restaurant Week on a Saturday evening. Food and service was outstanding but the place was really loud. Made it pretty tough to hold a conversation without shouting. Would I come back? Probably...for lunch on a weekday when there aren't that many customers.
We had to ask for a new waiter, as it appeared he was in no condition to be waiting on us. He was not making any sense, kept repeating our drink & appetizer wrong (& they were wrong when arrived), sweating all over us and blood shot eyes. The management staff never came over to apologize or offered any discount, though they did give us a new waiter & I believe sent our original waiter home. We spent a lot of money & on top of it all they were told it was a special occasion - my birthday.
My sister and I elected to try out the menu during restaurant week. I was somewhat looking for a special and different menu from the typical menu. However, a number of the choices on the restaurant week menu were the same as on their standard menu. The food was good and the waitress was very attentive.
We had a wonderful dinner at 5th and Wine last Friday night. We had friends in town and we wanted to enjoy the restaurant week menu. It was delicious as usual. We tried many items, but the Chicken Cordon Blue was the champion of the night!
Our server Sam was super friendly and offered helpful recommendations and exceptional service!
It was good, food seemed just a tad overpriced for what you got, otherwise good.
It was pretty empty Saturday morning, and the first thing the waitress asked us as "you have a Groupon?" - which I felt was off putting. I usually go for dinner and have no complaints, the day crew is a slower pace and less attentive. Food was pretty basic but they kept out mimosas full. 👍🏼
Great meal. Everyone loved their entrees and apps. The food was delicious and reasonably priced.
A bad nite. I eat there regularly and usually good but the chef could not provide anything but a very rare lambburger after 2 tries.
Pleasantly surprised they serve brunch on the weekends. Have been twice and both times had the fantastic lamb burger - cooked perfectly. Will try brunch item next time
5th and Wine is one of my very favorite Scottsdale restaurants! The service is always great; Cobb Salad with fried eggs is amazing; also a great place for large groups and special occasions!
ALWAYS love dining at 5th & Wine...local favorite...
A wonderful, relaxing brunch. Great service! Food prepared perfectly. Quiet, relaxing atmosphere that encourages conversation.
The meatballs and burgers were great!!
