Let’s start with the destination pudding , the Bara Brith baked Alaska, an absolute show stopper served in an individual cast iron mini skillet with the most perfect meringue baking hot and of a sculpted shape .A gorgeous brown swirling Medusa’s head of a meringue, chewy and crispy and covering the clotted cream ice cream. I’ll be back for this again! Delightfully cheerful service , the food delicious.

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary and her birthday at The Ivy in Chester, and we had a truly wonderful experience. The restaurant was beautiful, the food was brilliant, and the service was exceptional from beginning to end. Two members of staff in particular, who I believe were Rebecca and Melissa, helped make the occasion so memorable. They were friendly, attentive and incredibly helpful, making us feel very welcome and ensuring our celebration felt extra special. Thank you to the whole team for a fantastic afternoon. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will definitely return.

Good value, good quality, ample afternoon tea in great setting, overlooking the bay. Service efficient and attentive. Minor quibble - better to have had an individual jam portion, as the shared jam was a bit on the sparse side. Very happy to return.

Another fabulous experience! Padron Peppers, Onion Rings followed by Monkfish and Belly Pork, then a Lemon Tart. Bendegedig!!!
