My partner and I visited The Forge for our second anniversary yesterday and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome and special. They knew it was our anniversary and had even written us a card, which was such a lovely and thoughtful touch that really meant a lot to us. The food was absolutely delicious. Everything we had was beautifully cooked and full of flavour. The French onion soup was one of the best I’ve ever had, and the chicken supreme was outstanding. Every course was enjoyed and there wasn’t a single thing we could fault. What really made the evening, though, was the service. Every member of staff we spoke to was friendly, attentive and incredibly knowledgeable. We overheard them helping other tables with wine choices and menu recommendations, and it was clear how passionate they are about what they do. Nothing felt too much trouble and they struck that perfect balance of being attentive without being overbearing. Thank you to everyone at The Forge for helping make our anniversary so memorable. We left feeling thoroughly looked after and already talking about when we can come back. Highly recommended.

Mike and I were lucky to be gifted a voucher to spend at Chef’s Table. From the moment we arrived and throughout the time we were there, I can honestly say that it was one of the best dining experiences we have ever enjoyed. The staff were attentive, professional, polite, but most of all, they were so friendly, which relaxed us straight away. The food was mouthwatering, with every mouthful being a delight. I just cannot say anymore apart from the fact that we are both looking forward to visiting again soon. Congratulations, you should all be very proud of yourselves

Meal was delicious. Excellent service from the staff and the price is very reasonable.

Sunday roast sharer was lovely, plenty of all four meats and lots of gorgeous veg! Maybe an option for more gravy would be nice, apart from that, wow, we'll be back 😁😁😁

Good service delivered with a smile. Excellent food and good portion sizes. Pleasant setting, with good comfy seats but just lacking a little atmosphere. We will go again.
