Die besten äthiopische Restaurants in Canonbury

Such a lovely spot for vegan injera, I’ve been here quite a few times before and it was always great, food is always 10/10. The owner is the sweetest lady and the people who work there are very nice and accommodating. The only thing I had slight issue with, and it’s not really the restaurant’s fault at all, is some of the people who were also there to eat. Unfortunately they made us feel a little bit uncomfortable. The moment I arrived there was a group of older white people outside and as I walked into the restaurant one lady gave me very nasty looks for seemingly no reason. It was very strange. We were very kindly moved from a table downstairs to somewhere nicer upstairs and ended up being seated next to that same group of people. The entire time we could see and feel them glaring over at me and my friend who are both black. I feel like this was quite audacious considering they were at an Ethiopian restaurant for food (which they barely touched might I add). It was very rude of them to give such looks while we just minded our business and enjoyed our food. Again this is not at all the fault of the restaurant, just something to be mindful of when it comes to the potential vibe when you dine there. Sadly you cannot escape the weird white people even at an ethnic restaurant.

Good food, nice services and well , than you, it was a great discovery.
