LOVELY WAY TO SPEND OUR DAUGHTER'S 21ST BIRTHDAY. STAFF WERE ACCOMMODATING WHEN WE ARRIVED EARLY AND WERE HAPPY TO BRING A CAKE WE PROVIDED OUT AFTER THE MAIN MEAL WHICH SOME RESTAURANT'S ARE NOT EAGER TO HELP WITH. FOOD WAS LOVELY AND VERY TASTY ONLY THING WAS I COULDN'T SEEM TO FIND A CONTACT PHONE NUMBER FOR THE RESTAURANT - ONLY AN EMAIL ADDRESS WHICH DIDN'T REPLY TO MY EMAIL ... THANK YOU!

We went to sasso for my birthday, I’m I big lover/fan of Cibo wilmslow and Hale. From the entrance to leaving everything was fantastic. It felt allot more cosy and personal.The touch of a complementary birthday plate was a nice touch and not expected so this enhanced our experience. The staff were professional and smartly dressed with good attitudes from the Greek lady who looked after us for most of our experience and the French gentleman who delivered all our food to the gentleman who served our drinks, you couldn’t fault them all and n point. The food was fantastic and better than any cibo I’ve dined at. Yes they look like complete carbon copies serving the exact same food but sasso takes the lead. The food seemed and tasted fresher as if the chefs here had more passion for the food they were making. That’s not to say the chefs at cibo don’t have passion but you could tell the difference if you’ve dined with them enough. The value for money was outstanding, menu item prices were perfect and not taking the p***. I don’t think I’ll ever dine at another cibo again after dining out at sasso as sasso has taken the number one spot. The fact it’s practically £30 more for the fish platter and every menu item costs about £6-£7 more for the exact same thing is outrageous. For what we had at sasso it would have cost around an extra £80-90 at cibo for the exact same thing. You can’t justify it. Sasso 5 stars great value for money.

Myself and my boyfriend had a wonderful meal here last night - and we couldn’t recommend it more. The staff were attentive and very welcoming, even when it was busy, they still made the effort to come over and pour our wine, having small conversations along the way! The food was absolutely amazing, to start our dinner off, we had the tomato and garlic bread. Then, the true showstopper, our main meal. I had the ragu ravioli and my boyfriend had the prawn tagliatelle and it was unlike anything we have ever had before. The portions were plenty and every ingredient was so well thought of. It’s safe to say that when we’re back in the area, we will definitely be heading back. A huge thank you to our waiter Davide, lovely guy!

The best pizza in Manchester! Incredible dough making for a light and fluffy crust! My favourites are the Bufalina for a classic flavour and the Calabrese for spice.
