Amazing experience for families. Entertainment was fantastic, the afternoon tea pastries were delicious, tea selections unique and tasty, and service was excellent!

★★★★★ A true hidden gem in Ancaster! Our family of six recently had dinner at Mist, and I have to say this place genuinely exceeded our expectations. It is wonderful to finally have a restaurant like this right here in Ancaster — excellent Mediterranean food, beautiful surroundings, and genuine hospitality all in one place. We tried several dishes from the Mediterranean menu, including muhammara, hummus, baba ganoush, za’atar, along with a large mixed BBQ/grill platter. Everything was fresh, flavourful, beautifully presented, and clearly prepared with care. The grilled meats and vegetables were excellent. The karak chai deserves a special mention — easily one of the best I’ve ever had. Rich, aromatic and authentic. We finished with the baklava, which was equally impressive. It had exactly the right level of sweetness — not overly sweet or heavy, but still rich enough to be a proper dessert. A perfect way to finish the meal. What impressed us just as much as the food was the hospitality. We came as a family of six with four children, and the staff could not have been more welcoming. Everyone was smiling, attentive and genuinely helpful. We never felt rushed, and they made it very comfortable for us to enjoy a proper family dinner. And then there is the ambience and attention to detail. This is where Mist really stands apart. From the tile work, lighting and furniture to the plates, cutlery, teapots and karak chai cups, everything has been thoughtfully selected. The interior genuinely reminded me of the elegant Mövenpick-style five-star hotel ambience I have experienced in Liège, Belgium — refined and luxurious, yet still warm and comfortable. It was also wonderful seeing families and people from around the Ancaster community enjoying the restaurant. There is a relaxed, upscale atmosphere where you can actually sit down, enjoy your company and make an evening out of dinner. For me, that is what makes Mist special. Calm atmosphere.Went on a Thursday night for a bite to eat before our movie. Had poutine,chicken fingers, dessert doughnuts with caramel sauce accompanied by a few drinks. Bartender/server was very accommodating.
