August is a restaurant that sits in the old heritage church on Dornoch Terrace, West End. Our dining room is surrounded by objects, art, and the original pitched church ceiling and stained glass windows. We had a lovely dinner at Mecca Bah Hope Island last night. Six of us, celebrating a birthday. Staff were attentive and efficient, food was super tasty and although not planned, our dessert plate of baklava came out with sparklers and staff singing Happy Birthday, nice surprise!
