The refurbishment is very good - it's a high quality job, and a nice atmosphere. The food is better than your average pub food, and the cocktails were actually very good. It's maybe a little overpriced for what you get, but the general view amongst us was it was pretty good overall, if not the best possible. But it is a pub! The service was excellent, very attentive without being over-bearing. So, recommended.

Havent been for a year or so, therefore quite a few changes. New surroundings are more appealing. Seevice waa relativly quick. Menu had loads to choose from. Pastry on pies is Shortcrust so always a plus. Husband asked for batter to be extra crispy on his fish and it was. We all four enjoyed our meal but i would say Cheese pie needs more cheese and less added potato. We are planning to come again and try a lunchtime . Happy with the experience.

Lovely Sunday lunch, plenty of vegetables and both mash and roast potatoes. Beef cooked perfectly, plenty of gravy, one of the nicest I’ve had .

This was our second occasion Dining at the Prior and as before not disappointed. The Sunday lunches our party selected ( beef,pork and chicken) were really nice. Veg was perfect and the desert of sticky toffee pudding with ice cream was delicious. The staff were very pleasant and friendly and the service was excellent. Look forward to our next family meal
