Food was great. It wss a little loud. Service was fine. They cane to our table enough times but seemed like they were slightly understaffed for the amount of people. Still a great experience and an awesome view

This was my first omakase experience. It was the best sushi-related experience of my life and it wasn't even close. If you are expecting to eat enough to be extremely full like you get at an AYCE sushi place, you may leave slightly disappointed. But only slightly because the food is so unbelievably good. The ingredients are as top-notch as they come. The vast majority of ingredients came from Japan, which is rare even in omakase. Every bite I had left me wanting more. If Chef Jason would have said we could pay for another round, I think I would have went for it. Chef Jason and his sous chef, Tristan, produced near-perfect bites for every round I got to enjoy. It's hard to pick a favorite when everything was so excellent. But I suppose if I was forced to pick one, I'd have to go with the fatty tuna hand roll. It simply coated my mouth in the best flavors imaginable in sushi. The medium-fatty tuna nigiri and the A-5 and the madai escabeche would be tied for second place for me. But again, it's hard to choose from items that all achieved near-perfection. Oh, and the salmon on the salmon nigiri was like no other salmon I had ever seen. Like the rest of the fish, it was from Japan. It had the most beautiful deep orange color to it and the texture looked tight and beyond healthy. The drink pairings were also awesome. I think it's almost a must to add that to the experience. You will feel left out if you do not. Jut like all the food, the mixologist explained every drink and why he included them the way he did. I truly cannot imagine a sushi experience topping this one, but I will seek it out when I go to Japan in the next 6-8 months. I've been dreaming of taking a trip there for many years, but my experience at Nakama has pushed me over the edge and now it is something I must do ASAP. Thank you to the entire staff of Nakama. The food was absolutely delicious 😋. All the appetizers were phenomenal and the rolls super yummy. Favorite roll was the Godzilla roll. 100% recommend it!!!!
