Norah Alberta is a BIPOC women-owned, plant-focused Pan-Asian restaurant on Alberta Street. Our name comes from Manorah, a traditional dance from Southern Thailand performed during celebrations and community gatherings. The dance represents vitality, connection, and togetherness—values that inspire everything we do at Norah.Co-founded by Nan Chaison, a Thai-born, Portland-based restaurateur, bar director, and lifelong host at heart, alongside Prae Nobnorb. Shaped by her experience as an immigrant working in kitchens, bars, Nan’s approach centers on comforting food, thoughtful drinks, and genuine hospitality.After opening our first location on Belmont in December 2022, we brought our flavors to our second home on Alberta. Rooted in Thai cuisine and open to broader Pan-Asian influences, our all-vegan, gluten-free–friendly menu is designed for sharing. Guests are invited to enjoy bold, modern dishes, craft cocktails, and good energy—indoors or on our inviting patio.
