Great food, service and ambience. Always my go to place when I’m visiting Cardiff, as it’s conveniently located and consistently good.

The food was excellent we had the Pork Belly & Haddock & Chips & a shared dessert of Blood Orange Posset, everything was delicious & really tasty. The staff were very friendly & attentive - nothing to much trouble. Alden, what a mixologist the Bramble cocktails were exquisite & went down all to well, try them you won’t be disappointed! The young lady who served us (sorry we don’t have your name is a real credit to you). A thoroughly lovely evening, will look forward to our next visit. 😊

Excellent food, very good service from Rob and his team. Delicious catch of the day (sea trout) with a gorgeous sauce - the pork belly was incredible too, definitely worth a visit.

We really enjoyed our visit. We were in the mood for some authentic fish and chips and after a quick google search we found the Square Grill close to our hotel. We were seated promptly at a window seat in the bar area and as a bonus there was a piano man playing. Service was excellent and the fish and chips was perfect. Highly recommended.

On a beautiful sunny day in Bath we dined with friends at The Halfpenny. These guys had been so busy they had run out of some items which we were informed of before we ordered, great communication and wasn’t a problem for us. We sat outside in the sun and had the most fantastic food and drinks. I couldn’t think of a better way to end the day. Thank you Halfpenny, we’ll be back!
