Stacey and Paul sensed something was missing from the Lincoln dining experience. Paul had always had a passion to open up an independent restaurant and as a local girl Stacey recognised that although Lincoln is a historical City and a very dynamic and growing City, there was a clear need for a relaxed restaurant experience that combined history with modernity.We are the only restaurant with a beautiful out side dining area for up to to 40 covers please note when booking for outside dining weather changes are out of our control. we will always try to accommodate indoors if we can for sudden changes. dog friendly bar area for food and drink and treats are included too!!!Award winning cooking from one of Lincoln's most celebrated chef'sBraised beef blade or sticky toffee pudding you do not want to miss them !!!!

The Chequers Inn is a 14th century building with as much charm as it has history. Owned by Jonathan & Joanne Tindall since 2002, this cosy inn is also a hotel, serving as a brilliant base for exploring the Peak District, whether it be a visit to Chatsworth House or a walk along Froggatt Edge. Boasting an AA Rosette, the food at The Chequers ranges from the classic fish and chips and burgers to the seasonally-changing dishes such as lamb rump, seabass and vegetable pithivier. The proper steak and ale pie, however, is the fan favourite, and is even available to take home! Throughout the summer, the large woodland garden is the perfect place for a refreshing drink or a bite to eat, whereas in the winter, the two log fires make the pub warming and comfortable, making The Chequers Inn the perfect place to visit any time of year.

Our bar and pub menus have all been crafted around local produce from Norfolk.Like the seasons, menus at the White Horse Holme change to reflect the fresh ingredients that our fishermen, farmers and suppliers catch, grow and produce for us.Our menu is designed to be shared amongst friends or ordered for individuals. We recommend a side dish with our large plates. Dishes suitable for sharing are indicated on the menu.Our bakery is award-winning (top 50 best bakery in the UK in its first year) and our restaurant recognised by the Good Food Guide, Food Made Good for sustainability and we were delighted to be recognised as 31st Best Pub in the UK in 2025 by GFG.Dogs are welcome in our bar and dining area.We welcome walk-ins at the bar and restaurant, as well as on our heated decking area outside.

The Bluebell is a smart, modern place to relax offering fuss-free food and drinks that retain the reputation for quality we’ve hopefully earned at Stones. Dogs are welcome in our outdoor space and bar area. No dogs will be allowed in the restaurant-style extension. Parking Please note we have a car park on-site however it can get very busy and is limited. Please respect the neighbours when parking on-street by not blocking their driveways. Please do not park opposite other cars therefore making the road too narrow to pass. Come and join us at this beautiful old pub very soon. Please note we are closed on Sunday evenings and all day on Mondays.
