We had a memorable dinner celebration with expertly prepared classic French dishes. Oysters were buttery, cold and fresh with great ocean, salty goodness. Their classic martini was one of the best I ever had. The bouillabaisse had lots of fresh seafood with a rich, lemony broth. The Pommes Puree was velvety smooth and buttery. The hen of the woods mushroom had a great seer and ate like steak. My dining partner had the sole meunier and said it was fantastic. The vanilla birthday cake slice was one of the best cakes I have had. Overall a perfect meal! Suki (sp) was our server and immediately connected with us, capturing the spirit of our celebration. She guided us with what to choose and I saw her immediately jump in if something was missed (clearing the appetizer plates). The restaurant is in the Grand Beacon Hotel and was decorated with luxurious, velvet booths and chairs with roomy seating. A true San Francisco experience!

Harlequin is a gem in the downtown/SOMA corridor. We had lunch here yesterday and had two of the best sandwiches we can remember -- the Chicken Caesar Sandwich and Smash Burger. Friendly and attentive service and a great wine list. What more could one ask for?!

My niece and I had a lovely Friday night dinner. We adore Prospect for it’s great food, expert service and welcoming hospitality. It feels like our second home after so many years of great experiences. We started with cocktails. I had a Fig Leaf, and it was delicious. My niece is always delighted by the care Prospect puts into the non-alcoholic cocktails, and ordered the Sunset In The Bay, that she loved. We drank those with the Halibut Ceviche, fantastic! I ordered the incredible Trout dish with the mushrooms and green beans. It was so good with a glass of Sancerre. My niece was in the mood for steak, which no one does better than Prospect. I had a bite, and the combination of the fingerling potatoes, with those blistered peppers was really amazing. We wanted to order dessert, but we were too full, so we took home bags of the Prospect Popcorn to enjoy later. It was a relaxed, fun dinner, and a great way to end a busy week. I always feel valued and cared for when I dine at Prospect.

I love coming here. The atmosphere and martini cart experience makes it worth the price every time. Came this time for a friend’s birthday. They surprised us with a small glass of champagne and a free sundae at the end. We had the seafood tower (which was excellent except ask for west coast oysters as the east coast were enormous unless you’re into that; and the crab was overrated), truffle fries, Caesar salad, and martini cart with caviar bumps. So much fun!

We were given a table by the window in the bar which was very pleasant. Service was very good in all aspects. Good very good. Look forward to our next visit.
