This is a restaurant in a good hotel so had the relaxed lounge style ambience you might expect which was rather pleasing with the space being open and airy. The food, whilst not exotic and challenging on the menu was absolutely fabulous, every dish cooked to perfection. The chicken dishes were wonderful. The staff were also brilliant, attentive but not too overbearing, and very polite. In all it was exactly what we wanted for a quick but delicious two course meal out. Would recommend for mixed groups and will be going back myself. Parking in hotel was easy and free.

As always, a great meal with superb service at Redcoats. Over the years the place has changed but the excellence and quality has not.

We ate at The Funky Monk on Bank Holiday Sunday- August 31 The food was exquisite. Sublime. Divine. We are a couple of foodies and we were blown away. We were in the area for an Event on the Monday; but we’d definitely drive 90 minutes from South London again just to eat here. The Scallops were “to die for”! My husband’s steak was perfect. My Pasta was delicious. The Restaurant was not busy. However, the Pub was. The Staff were just the right balance of reactive and attentive despite being incredibly busy serving at a heaving Bar. They offered service with a smile. 10/10 would recommend.

I don't know this building was open to the public. It has great views and great atmosphere. I went to listen to a local band The Groove Continuum, a two piece duo. Their music was superb and fantastic atmosphere, looking forward to going and seeing them again
