James Beard Award-winning Chef Andrew Black makes his way back to Skirvin Hotel to open his newest restaurant concept, Perle Mesta. The restaurant will be his first concept to open since winning a James Beard award as 2023’s Best Chef Southwest and will be located on the first floor of the historic Skirvin Hotel (One Park Avenue, Oklahoma City). Perle Mesta will offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner service and the cuisine will reflect Chef Black’s continued exploration of what he calls “possibility cuisine,” a concept he attributes to his style of cooking that explores and embraces the endless possibilities of ingredients, flavors, techniques, and cultural influences. In this context, possibility cuisine involves chefs pushing the boundaries of traditional cooking and experimenting with unconventional ingredients, fusion cuisine, molecular gastronomy, or avant-garde techniques. It may involve a sense of creativity, innovation, and openness to exploring new culinary horizons.

Blind tasting menu: 7 course $137 each or 10 course $187 each. Wine Pairings - Silver: $100, Gold: $150, Platinum: $300. The wine tier you choose will not change the quantity, but rather the quality, platinum being the highest, top shelf option. Other beverage options: wine by the glass or bottle, craft cocktails, non-alcohol choices. (All prices are per person and do not include tax or gratuity.) Dining time: 7 course is 2.5 to 3 hours, 10 is 3.5 to 4. Groups over 6, add 60 min to expected dining time. Reservations require credit cards.     Birthday lunch was tops! I couldn’t have asked for a better celebration with a corner table with the best views! Best service and people who heard your limitations with food. For example in passing I mentioned that too dairy affects my stomach and when I was brought a birthday treat it was a sorbet that was incredibly delicious. They made me feel special in my day!

    This has become our go-to place for crabcakes. Born and raised in North Carolina and having crabcakes, my favorite dish, from Boston to Miami, moving here I just knew I would have to go home for a good crabcake. The Crabcakes at Rococo rival some of the best crabcakes I have ever had. So when I need a little taste of home, I come here for my favorite dinner and savor every bite. They never disappoint. The service is always over the top amazing. Perfect place for special events like birthdays.

    MILO IS A GREAT RESTAURANT IN A GREAT HOTEL. THE FOOD WAS EXCEPTIONAL, BOTH AT DINNER & BREAKFAST, THE DRINKS AT DINNER EXCELLENT & THE SERVICE WAS FABULOUS. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND BOTH THE HOTEL AND THE RESTAURANT!!
