Madre, un local muy confortable y acogedor, es el proyecto de la pareja formada por los chefs Miguel Bahena y Carolina Verdugo. El comedor, acondicionado en una casa de estuco blanco y tejas de barro, se reparte entre dos pequeñas salas y la barra, con la cocina vista al fondo. El marco se completa con suelos de parquet encerado, mesas con manteles de tela y paredes claras decoradas con obras de arte. La concisa carta, por su parte, propone entradas del mar como los camarones en costra de pepita y sésamo con chileatole de camarón y rodajas de nopal y cebolla. La propuesta se completa con platos de pasta y carnes asadas, entre ellas el magret de pato, servido con su piel muy crujiente y salseado con un mole coloradito casero.
