although we have eaten here several times, this time the food was not up to par. I asked for the pizza to be light on the cheese and it came light (almost none)on the sauce with regular amount of cheese and an order of fries came under cooked.

The food was terrible. It was the worst Mexican food I've had in a long time. There were a lot of people there, but they all seemed to be ordering burgers. You had to walk in past their mini-liquor store. I thought I had accidentally walked into a convenience store. I sat facing the kitchen (it was not a lovely view). I was not impressed. I will not be going back.

I made reservations with no problem for my two adult kids and myself. I was my birthday so I thought this would be a fun place,.It was fun but the dinner I got was awful. Steak burritos where there was no steak just some gound up, over cooked, shredded something.... Nachos were great drinks very good. I wish you would go back to Mexican only and improve on that.Too much rice and refried beans in the burrito also. Put that on the side please. Resonable prices...

Fabulous hidden gem! Energetic, vibrant, great ambiance. The enchiladas are legendary.

Although I have been going to Alonso's for decades, in recent years this restaurant has definitely hit the skids. On the night we visited, the 2 of us ordered only 2 things: one chopped salad and one Alonso burger. We waited FORTY minutes from the time we ordered before any food came to our table - and that was only after we had complained. When it came, the waitress slung the salad on the table (which was my husband's entire dinner), saying "The burger's not ready yet - you can share the salad." Um, no. When I asked what was taking so long to cook a mere burger her reply was "I wouldn't know, ma'am - I'm only the server." Thereafter she developed server tunnel vision and staunchly marched past our table without making eye contact.

Although the restaurant was not at all crowded, and we were only a party of 4, my dinner (beef tacos) was no longer hot when it arrived. Both the tacos and the beans seemed gloppy and unappealing. Also the crust on the peach pie was thick and heavy. The dinner was disappointing enough that I would think twice about going back.

There is a new vibe at Alonsos/Loco Hombre and we like it! Service was ON POINT, the food was hot, flavorful and well timed and the desserts are made by Cassandra's Cakes (homey and fresh). HUGE portion of mussels in a broth that I wanted to drink (but was thankful for the toast points provided), smokey black bean soup and BISON burgers, which they now offer in one pound or 8 ounce. Also very lovely was a side salad instead of fries with the burger---dressing was pooled at bottom of bowl with mixed greens on top allowing us to mix at the table. NIce touch.

We ordered nachos and quesdillas and our food was burnt when it was brought out. We sent it back, and the second time around the quesdillas were still burnt. Our waitress was rude. I am a person that typically likes hot weather, but it was too hot in there even for me. We asked the waitress if the air could be turned on, and we were met w/ a rude reply. I don't typically like to sweat while I'm eating my meals.

kitchen was short and it took forever to receive our food, beer kegs were out and the restaurant was HOT! food was delish though!

The food was very good and reasonably priced. The menu was diverse enough to suit different tastes. The service was very nice. The only problem we had was how Open Table handles the reservation. In Open Table there is no distinction between Alonzo's and Loco Hombre. If you don't specify in the comments, you may get the wrong restaurant. We did but enjoyed our meal anyway and they were good enough to honor our coupon even though it was for the sister restaurant.
