Belly of the Beast is the expression of Chef Thomas’ personal and professional experiences, coupled with Elizabeth’s expertise in service and hospitality to deliver a dining experience through the lense of a 1st generation Mexican American.

We aim to provide high quality ingredients handled with respect and cooked with love. The food speaks for itself, with bold flavors and unique dishes drawing from our cultural upbringing and travels. We want our cuisine and service to convey the thoughtfulness and passion we have implemented in our restaurant.

Went for an anniversary dinner on a Saturday night. Made reservations, which are a must, and really enjoyed ourselves! Everything was good, but of course some things were better than others. My personal favorite was the Lamb Picanha that was just added to the menu a few days ago. Absolutely perfectly cooked lamb and a great combination of tastes! My wife’s favorite was the Hokkaido scallop on the raw bar menu. The combination of citrus, jalapeño, and peaches thinly sliced really was a great combo! All in all, a great visit. I’m glad we went to them before they eventually move to somewhere with a little ambience. It’s going to happen, because this place is going places.

Unfortunately it was so hot in there. The service and staff were perfect. Food was okay. We expected a bit more for a Michelin restaurant. We had the shrimp and pork belly wraps. Shrimp was cooked perfect but it over shadowed the pork belly. Couldn’t taste it. The lamb dish was the best dish—lots of complex flavor, good balance. The pork chop was too sweet. The panna cotta was very good. I’m surprised that it was at a strip mall and the decor was basic. Felt out of place. But if the food was better we probably wouldn’t have cared as much. Kudos to the staff. Service was wonderful.

Absolutely Amazing!!! Belly of the Beast completely lives up to its Michelin and James Beard honors. Every dish was packed with flavor and heart. The service was warm, the vibe was unforgettable—an all-around incredible experience. We’ll be back!

Wow! We tired so many dishes and all were amazing! The grilled peach and scallop appetizer was literally one of the most amazing dishes I have ever tasted. Cannot wait to go back- loved everything!
