    We came for a pre-theatre meal before a concert in the evening. The food was amazing, it was the staff that let it down. I was unable to finish my starter and received a dirty look and a comment from the waitress serving us. We were then left waiting over 20 minutes for the dishes from our main course to be removed, meaning that we didn't have time to get coffee or dessert. If the service had been improved it would have been the perfect evening out.

    This is my favourite lunch venue in all of Scotland. The ambience and food transport me to French holidays . A truly Gallic experience.

    We used to go here when it was under different ownership and it was very good. It is still very good, although a bit more money for their 2 course lunch menu than similar places in Perth. The wine is expensive though - they should sort that out, then it would be better value for the money in a very competitive Perth food market.

    Been many times to Café Tabou over the years and again it did not disappoint. Food was great as was the service.

    My wife flew in from Cape Town on 24th April and we were overnighting in Perth; I was looking for something special. Café Tabou fitted my requirements perfectly. The quiet unstressed atmosphere, with delightfully romantic music, created a special atmosphere for a reunion and a great dining experience. The scallops and the beef tournedos were just delicious. Thank you

    Yet again, cannot fault this place. It just seems to get better and better. Recently had dinner on a Friday night and the food was excellent. The service also very attentive. You won't get any better than this in Perth.

    For a restaurant that was selected at random, this proved to be a sound decision. Food choice (and quality) was excellent coupled with attentive but not overbearing service. Will certainly come back when in the area again

    We had a lovely meal at Cafe Tabou. We couldn't fault the food or the service in the restaurant. It would have got 5 stars overall had it not been for the phone call just after midnight (we had been in bed since 10:30 so very annoying) thinking we hadn't paid when we had. Not much of an apology either which was outrageous so this put a bit of a downer on the experience.

    We been here several times over the years. The food quality of excellent and the menu choice is good and changes. There is a good atmosphere in there and it is always busy in a way that has a buzz. One of those places when you fancy a good meal out or for a special occasion.
