   The vibe in this place is totally laid back and enjoyable. The wait staff is very friendly and attentive. They made sure we have everything we needed. We were greeted immediately and welcomed in even though they were busy. We had to wait for a table but they made sure we were comfortably seated somewhere while we waited, which was not long. The food was delicious, we especially enjoyed the whipped goat cheese with chapati bread. So delicious. The atmosphere is nice with feel good music in the background. We will definitely go back. They also have a sweet little gift shop selling African clothing and other artisan gifts.

   Latha is a welcome and exciting new addition to Phoenix’s dining scene. Located in a charming converted home in Heritage Square (right across from Bianco Pizzeria), the space is thoughtfully designed. The decor is tasteful and cohesive, especially considering the ambitious goal of representing the cultural diversity of Africa and the Caribbean — the team at Latha pulled it off wonderfully. Service was excellent; our server Oscar was warm, attentive, and helpful throughout the meal. We started with the Shrimp Aguachile and Piri Piri Wings. The aguachile packed a punch — spicy but full of flavor. The wings, while nicely charred and coated with flavorful skin, lacked seasoning on the inside. The Oxtail Grilled Cheese is a standout dish and an absolute must-order. The combination of braised oxtail, melted cheese, and sweet pineapple chutney was comforting, rich, and totally unique. For my main, I had the Salmon Dayboat Fish Moqueca. The salmon was perfectly cooked, skin included — and I usually skip the skin. The rice grits it came with were creamy and satisfying, though the broccolini could’ve been a bit more tender. I also tried the Yaa cocktail, and as a St-Germain fan, I loved it. Several people at my table ordered the Latha Lemonade with hibiscus and pineapple, and it was a hit — they went back for multiple refills. Overall, Latha offers a fresh, flavorful, and elevated take on African-inspired cuisine. It was my first time trying several of these dishes, and I walked away impressed. Great service, bold flavors, and a beautiful setting. 8.5/10 — I’ll definitely be back.

   Great fusion restaurant in downtown Phoenix. Don't worry about parking as they valet. Highly recommend the oxtail grilled cheese sandwich and the whipped goat cheese appetizer. Steak was great. They moderate the heat level for you. Fantastic service, the singer was great and the restaurant's vibe is very cool. We'll be back with friends and family!

   There was valet parking, so that made it easier for us. The food was great, and the service was amazing. We celebrated our 15th Anniversary, and they gave us complimentary champagne and a gift from their store. The one thing that was a little annoying is when we ate outside there were flies, but as evening came, they went away. Amazing place! Definitely would return.

   Outstanding experience. The food was excellent, and the service was superb. Taylor was our server who demonstrated extensive knowledge of the menu with a very kind and hospitable approach.

   The owners are Amazing. It was such a surprise to get my birthday gifts. But my server was so slow and not apart of the experience. We guided ourselves through the menu, I made it easy, and he was kind but I was disappointed. The same with the Service Asst, she was venting to us about the table numbers being wrong. Just need to polish and elevate the service. Amazing music. Get outside table. The backrooms for seating isn’t great so make sure the service is Amazing.

    Food was solid but not as amazing as expected considering the hype this place gets. We had the watermelon salad, hummus, waygu flank, and shrimp. Unfortunately none of the dishes were good enough to keep thinking about after the meal was over. Staff was very warm and welcoming. The team approach to serving was a bit chaotic. Only works well if you have a system/signals that allows the staff to know what has and hasn’t been done or asked. We were given the “I’m your guide” spiel and welcomed by three different people. The biggest miss was that all of our dishes came out immediately right on top of one another. Appetizers before cocktail, and entrees as we were dishing up our first portion of apps. A little focus on refining process would really help this place be great. Last little thing is having a live vocalist right outside the door made it really hard to hear in the main dining room. I like loud and energetic dining, but this was different because a late 1800s house isn’t built to regulate that amount of noise
