Mainly Drinks serves what its name implies and so much more! We are a full-service restaurant serving lunch and dinner six days a week. We also offer gourmet coffees and teas, micro-brewery ales and beers, and boutique wines.

The home of Mainly Drinks is one of the oldest buildings on the historic Main Street in La Porte. Located at 223 West Main Street, this setting is ideally situated with inside and outside seating.

I met a friend for a casual lunch. I had the hamburger and she had the club sandwich. Both were very good. The service was excellent, and we plan to return in the future.

Everything was absolutely wonderful from Appetizer to Dessert. Service was excellent. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Live music was great.

We had a reservation for four people on a Saturday night. When we arrived we got a table assigned next to the door. Since it was a cool night every time someone opened the door it got cold. So we asked to be reseated and they accommodated us without any problems. We were interested in the soups they offered and they gave us a sample so that we could taste them. Very nice gesture. We ended up ordering two cups of soup (which are more like a bowl in other places), a salad and a flatbread as appetizers. Everything was very tasty. Our main dishes included steaks and snapper which were also very well prepared. As dessert we had the beignets to share which were very good. We love their great selection of wines. They have them all listed in an app on an iPad that makes it easy to search by different categories. The wines are reasonable priced. Our server was very attentive and helpful. The owner stopped by a couple of times to check on us. The room is somewhat small and has no noise barriers. Fortunately it was not too crowded and not very loud. Overall we had a great dinner and will return.

A group of us like to go on Friday or Saturday evenings when a friend's combo is playing. The food is great and we love the music. A good wine and craft beer list. Noise level depends on how close you sit to the music since it's a relatively small restaurant.

I had out of town guests in from the Dallas area-- and wanted to take them someplace with a local flair, good food, ambiance, and Mainly Drinks was my first thought!!! They LOVED IT!!!! We had such a good time and enjoyed the company, food, service, and music!!!! The evening started our weekend off on such a high note!!! Thank you Mainly Drinks for a delightful experience!!!! We WILL be back!!

Soo glad we have Mainly Drinks in the neighborhood- such a fun place for dinner. Food is always good, great service, and live music on the weekends.
