Tempranillo reflects the soul of Spain, inspired by the new wave of deli-wine bars and, more importantly, the bars and eateries of Madrid. Located in the cobbled streets of Backwallgate, Macclesfield, the cozy bar showcases a relaxed atmosphere in both appearance and attitude, with subdued lighting and natural finishings celebrating the original features of its historic home.
We offer a unique wine list comprising a selection of hand picked Spanish reds and whites, alongside rose and sparkling wines. You will also be able to enjoy 'wine flights' which sees three small glasses served simultaneously, offering you the chance to taste the country's diverse range of wines side by side. We will also be showcasing some of Spain's finest sherry, beer and cider.
Our food is just as important and we have created a range of tapas for you to enjoy.

                                                Fabulous from start to finish! Welcome, service, wine, food, atmosphere. Ben and team have a little gem there and i can’t believe i’ve not been before! Can’t recommend enough

                                                Amazing place! So glad I found it! I am Spanish and I've been missing the food and experience of food back home. The food is amazing and it all taste exactly like back home. The experience of the small but filling plates too! Ive never left hungry and its a great value, for everything you can eat. Service is great, not pushy but very helpful, food comes out at a great pace and environment is great, energetic but not too loud or stressful. Is a little piece of a Spanish restaurant in Macc. Its now my favourite spot for when I'm homesick.

                                                Came on Saturday night with a friend, the food was good (it has been better before) the service was a bit odd, it wasn't mega busy but all the waitresses seem extremely rushed off their feet and it took longer than necessary to get drinks. We ordered sparkling water and it came in the glass rather than bottle, and we were then charge £2.50 for it. We were sat near the door to the kitchen downstairs with the smell of smoke wafting up. The waitress walked into my chair at least 4 times as she was rushing past and the bathroom was dirty. For a small place the acoustics are very bad and its extremely loud in the back room. Will come back and try again as maybe we just went on an off day!

                                                Came here with my boyfriend to celebrate him finishing university, we have been to lots of tapas places and this one definitely exceeded our expectations! The food was amazing and the service was very friendly. We will be coming back!
