Choose between the main restaurant or the oak-beamed library room, both ideal for a quick bite, family lunch or special event.

Food very good, but could have been a bit hotter temperature, not spice. Very enjoyable meal.

Was recommended to visit this restaurant by friends so booked as a mothers day gift. Hosts were very friendly and made us feel welcome but on being seated we were told that a lot of the items on the menu were unavailable as they had ran out due to being busy Unfortunately everything we wanted was on that list so we just had burgers which were overcooked and dry and onion rings were dripping in fat and inedible. The hosts did say they were dead on there feet as it was so busy. May try again in the future on a quiet day to see if the food is any better

Spur of the moment, booked on Saturday via open table for Sunday roast, very nice pub never been before but will certainly return . Great Sunday Carvery followed by nice puddings all for a reasonable price.

Good carvery - plenty of choice. Puddings were forgotten......half an hour wait for a chocolate fudge cake and a crumble while every table around you get their food is really annoying! No apology was really poor. The hundreds of good reviews for The Crown are clearly deserved but maybe they are a victim of their own success as there weren't enough staff who knew what was going on working on a very busy Sunday lunch.

I booked on line but when we arrived there was a large bike party so very crowed !! They had not booking for us but that was no trouble cleaned up a table and explained what was going on in the pub and why it was so busy so we ate Sunday roast which was good . We would return as when paying the bill a lovely member of staff asked if everything had been ok and asked if we had been before she then went and got evening menu so we could take them away to read at our leisure and she hoped that it had not been too crowed . Good attentive service .

Dinner was delicious but we were left with empty plates for 45mins Finally called them over and ordered dessert but the service was not good at all
