This is a restaurant in a good hotel so had the relaxed lounge style ambience you might expect which was rather pleasing with the space being open and airy. The food, whilst not exotic and challenging on the menu was absolutely fabulous, every dish cooked to perfection. The chicken dishes were wonderful. The staff were also brilliant, attentive but not too overbearing, and very polite. In all it was exactly what we wanted for a quick but delicious two course meal out. Would recommend for mixed groups and will be going back myself. Parking in hotel was easy and free.

Great service food is well cooked and served nice and hot. Prices are great as well. The bills breakfast is very nice and filling.

Visited the Anchor many times with friends in the past few years. The staff are always welcoming and friendly and the food is always great. Nice to sit out on the terrace overlooking the river. Will definitely return.
